Hello Readers!
Winter is upon us, so happy winter, wherever you are. Welcome to Issue 35, and thank you for reading these delicious poems, hot from the oven!
When the days get shorter and the temperatures drop, some of us need writing prompts to keep our energy high. We decided to share a handful of our recent favs. We hope they spark something—like a warm, crackling fire—in each of you. [Note: we apologize for being unable to provide attribution for these prompts. They floated into our lives through email, social media, podcasts, word-of-mouth, etc., and we share them in the spirit of community.]
Write a poem about a miracle that your body has experienced
Rewrite a poem you've already written from another character's point of view
Write a poem about a word you love without using the word in the poem
Do the same thing for a word you dislike/despise
Write a poem about the hands of someone you love
Happy writing, and we’ll see you in June for Issue 36!
